All that glitters; gold rush

Rating ; Gold rush ; looks lush; spree AND steal alert; 2 for 1 post. “Gold” a surprisingly wearable eye shadow shade to suit all, I’m a complete magpie so the more glittery the better. So don’t hold back from gold, red carpet alert no more, gold just became wear-able.

Inside scoop; Go for GOLD. BOTH of these on the shelf now  – look-alikey – powders are ultra-light, crease-free and surprisingly suit ALL. Blend – shade – layer or swoosh, gold is summer’s hottest shade. Team it with a black cat-eye flick  you’ll be party ready in a flash.  For the less confident, gold is NOT colour to avoid it has a habit of reflecting back and enhancing any eye colour.  If you go easy ‘am’ you can glam-up for evening and add a little depth ‘pm’ for a soft day-night eye-so-flattering look.

Both brands have a rainbow of shades available, both are well formulated (erm quite possibly in the same place…just saying…) so why not try gold if you’ve not, long gone are the Abba-esque gaudy days-of-gold; gold just got future-proof.

TAM’S TIP ; don’t gross out here…I tend to lick the end of my applicator (or dip in water!) which makes the pigments even more intense AND stops the drop ; you know the moment after you apply eye shadow, you look in the mirror and argggh there she goes half way down your face. Clown face no more.
