Inside scoop; I’m a mum, I’m a woman, I wear make-up that means collectively I’ve 20+ years experience of using cotton wool buds which makes me fully fully qualified to tell Johnson & Johnson they are MISTAKEN in their ear bud re-design. Read on before you judge me ;)!

Heaven-scent, easily-sent mail order, or in most if not ALL beauty emporiums, there’s is nothing this brand doesn’t do, including wonders for my Karma….ohmmmm

Thirsty Thursday? ; Power-up your beauty routine tonight with my Top 5 T’s!

Thirsty Thursday calls ; don’t give in make tonight a pre-weekend beauty pamper night instead!

Rating ; Thirsty Thursday – that’s tip number 1 make Thursday a water-packed day to prepare you for the weekend ahead, albeit come Thursday I’m more than reaching for the wine! So if like me you’ve been way under your 5 a day too, throw in some vitamins as well. Next up for me in my Top 5 tips is anything beginning with a T!

Inside scoop ; Thursday is usually my Power-it-up for the weekend beauty night when I tend to Tan-Trim-Treat & Try. Whatever I’m up to I like to go into the weekend having at least scrubbed off some of a usually stressful week.

So if you’ve a quiet night in tonight and Thursday isn’t the new Friday for you then throw on the laundry, turn the volume up on the music and power through some of these for a quick fix beauty makeover which will have you Fresh for Friday.

Wicked Wednesday ; Unicorn Make-up your beauty ESSENTIAL??!

Wicked Wednesday Went Wild : WITH…Unicorn glitter, just because you can.

Rating ; Flippant Flirty Fun & absolutely Frivolous. Don’t read on if you’re easily DAZZLED and WARNING you definitely do NOT need this product. But – sometimes especially on a grey wet Wednesday just say ‘whatever’ and grab some. Festival season isn’t over yet so go on its wild Wednesday.

Inside scoop ; Unicorn Glitter bring it ON. Ok it’s Wednesday, you’re probably in a serious meeting, or bored, or grumpy, or just wishing for the weekend 🙂 to hurry on up, then along came UNICORN GLITTER. Wrong, OTT, sparkling magic dust ; just for the sheer heck of it : Unicorn glitter. YES!

Can’t say you need it, nor will you wear it everyday, but whilst Festival Season is still just about in swing then I say rock on, glitter up and work it.

Play Mist-y for me ; spray that again?

Rating ; Mist-y-fy me; face mists.…for many but the true beauty addict, kind of falls into the huh, never heard of it, don’t need it, didn’t know I needed it; argh thanks for that now can’t live without it camp.

Inside scoop; Beauty Mists / Make-up fixing mists? Spray that again? Really. Come on, a mist on your face, another step in your routine, another thing to carry GRR. But hold the press a sec, yup sorry this one’s a winner and my new found handbag essential. Possibly been lurking in many celebs large Mulberry hold-alls forever. But re-born this Summer with lots of botanical goodies & now a must-have. Today’s choice of the hot but oh so cool mists for me is Clarins Beauty-fix mist ; plain english, plenty of water, some scrummy extras, no mist-yque!

BUT WHY you say why ANOTHER product, ok stay with me a sec…so you’re onto your 3rd 4th or heck who is counting any more Costa of the day, definitely your 80th email and probably your 6th meeting. Phone at the ready, you’re off to the next, an important one with the boss, quick look in the mirror and BOOM there it is, staring right back at you – your day is written all over your face and not in a great way. Slightly tired (make it very by 3pm in my case) slightly dry, slightly smudged, slightly frazzled, slightly let’s say rumpled.

Rating ; PURR-FECT cat eyes in a stroke; I know a product is good when somehow I’ve got 4 of them on the go at home, or maybe more like 7. AND it costs way less than £10.

Inside scoop; There are ALOT of liquid eyeliner/penliners out there. Some good, some not so good, some doomed to give you Gene Simmons from KISS eyes [not always a great look!]. This precision tip, no run, last-for-ages low-cost brush pen will give you cat-like eyes in an instant for a purr-fect finish every time.

Flirty-flicky-fabulous eyes come no easier than this brush like pen. Key is a light touch and a feather like tip. This one by the clever folks @ soapnglory is my Number 1 for eyes in an instant. Lifts / opens / widens and adds a touch on black flirt in a brush. It seems to last for ages, dries quick-fast & never runs.

Comes in black, black oh yes and black. 2 pen sizes, but I recommend standard. You can layer it up or dress it down, for me it’s an everyday staple, above my Monday morning look today, but for others maybe worth saving for the weekend and you can practise.

Inside scoop; Ok sure the name is possibly a bit of an over promise, but anything with a name like that is worth a shot I reckon. In fact that’s exactly what it is; a quick-fix-in-a-flash-shot of firmness. You’ll be party-ready in a flash, but for a bit of cash.

Most of us have tried the mother of all beauty flash balms by Clarins, still a hot fav in my cabinet, so let’s call this one by Ren it’s slightly younger, slightly cooler sister. Gel formula, one small drop off the syringe (yup bit odd that) & trust me your make-up sets faster than the office gluttons descending on the free birthday cake. Inside scoop; again another TK Maxx beauty-steal (I love a good forage there) for me here but I’d also buy this one full price. Many of these available everywhere from loose powders to set. But – strobing – who knew?? 10 years off at a stroke, last night’s night out erased, selfie-ready in an instant.
