Bright eyes ; Spree vs Steal, Luxe vs High street : Eyes-down for the results

Spree vs Steal ; Charlotte and Kate go head to head in the ring! Who’s gonna win??? Eyes down for the big reveal…

Rating ; The eyes have it with these 2 hot, on trend must try palettes for effortless ‘nude’ eyes. So which is it Spree vs. STEAL? I put 2 pretty much EYE-dentical palettes under the microscope...

Inside scoop ; Nude eyes – must buys; suit all shades from subtle Sunday to sizzling Saturday everyone needs a palette of suit-all nude eyeshadow.  But do you splurge or save…sure we’d all like both.  So I tested Rimmel London nudes eyes vs Charlotte Tilbury’s holiday eyes Xmas ’17 (well I will be if I can get my hands on it….).

Palettes are my go-to format for eyes, cheeks and anything powdery.  Why? Gives you options, lets you experiment and you rarely get bored.

So the question is Spree?  Or Steal? …read ON…Charlotte T or Kate Moss for Rimmel…

For me of course I want BOTH ( I do I so DO) but I must say I also take personal exception to waiting lists and the whole concept of #Limited Edition# it just seems SO designed to make me want something more.   And yes it works…but then I get VERY grumpy if I read about something like this, want it, try to buy it then can’t. In fact I get all Verucca Salt and may scream.

So for me the look-y-very-likely must have it this time and to avoid disappointment I say grab a Rimmel Magnify-eyes London Nudes palette now, they’re in stock, handily in Boots and ready to give you eyes-in-an-instant.  In 2 other colour ways also.

Then sure pop Charlotte Tilbury’s oh so glam palette on your Xmas wish list, Sunday Times reviewed it in the Style mag on Sunday so be warned I imagine the list is already as long as your local catwalk runway!!! But I can’t stay mad for long as her products are just soooo good. So put your name down it’s  worth a shot and yes like all Charlotte’s make up I’m fairly sure it will be covetable, wearable, slightly indulgent and just well a little bit fabulous.

But until then nude-on with Rimmel I say ; fab value, great range of shades and the powder texture TBH is pretty decent too.

But, all that said I do love and oh-so-want Charlotte’s Palette if only for the names how can I still be going on, I know I’m a sucker but who doesn’t want 1. Day Eye, 2. Desk Eye, 3. Date Eye, 4. Disco eye ; please please I just want it…love the names love the marketing but have RAGE that it’s sold out before it’s even here :

Enough already I won’t stay angry too long as if you’ve not tried her products they are just, well, fab…my best friend bought me some for my birthday and I’m totes-Charlotte addicted.

Tam’s Tip ; Perhaps if I can call the make-up Fairy Godmother (I do know a few) I just might lay my hands on one if I do I’ll share promise :).  For now enjoy Rimmel it not only look-a-likey’s but cost-a-lot-less and heck buy 3 in all the shades for now…DO invest in a decent set of brushes ; whatever quality eye powder you use it’s just better with a good brush (and brushes kept clean).

Either of these not your thang ; don’t forget my Cargo hot tip for more palette mania ;
